Juvenile Court - Child Protection Division

The CBA In-Court Lawyer Referral Program in conjunction with the Circuit Court of Cook County approves qualified, experienced attorneys from the private bar and schedules these attorneys in the Juvenile Court Child Protection Division and the Rolling Meadows Traffic Division. The judges in these courtrooms will appoint the scheduled attorney to represent clients as needed. Interested attorneys are required to complete an application that will be reviewed by the CBA In Court Screening Committee. The Committee will generally require five (5) years of experience practicing before the bar. In Rolling Meadows, lawyers provide assistance to defendants who need an attorney for a reasonable fee or a cash bond. In Juvenile Court, appointed attorneys are compensated in accordance with Illinois Supreme Court Rule 299.
