Legal practitioners in many fields come into contact with special education law issues on a regular basis. Whether you are a new school lawyer who wants to practice education law, a school lawyer who focuses on another field, an attorney in a related field-such as family and juvenile law, criminal law, civil rights law or health law-or an attorney who represents special education students in pro bono matters on your own time, understanding the basics of special education law is important to your practice. At this seminar, we will address relevant laws and regulations, the basics of the special education process, and tests and assessments used in the field.
