TOPIC: CAN WE TALK? JOAN RIVERS, THE SEVENTH CIRCUIT, PRIVACY AND PUBLICITY: A woman was talking with comedian Joan Rivers backstage after a show about the comments a heckler had made. This 16 second conversation was captured and included in a documentary about Joan Rivers. The woman sued for invasion of privacy and misappropriation of her right of publicity (her image). This presentation will explore the Seventh Circuit decision as well as other fundamental invasion of privacy and rights of publicity case law.
